The Chief of Staff will be responsible for managing the team’s operating model, meeting and decision-making structures, communication plans, strategic partner agreements, and improving team coordination through automation and next generation tool adoption. This role will be responsible for team and organizational health by making sure the Design staff operates efficiently, with high trust, clear priorities and a strong sense of urgency.This role is critical to our success, as we need to actively manage the ongoing changes and evolutions of our business, support our team in delivering on goals, and constantly optimize our operations to adapt. The ideal candidate will have a track record of helping to build high performing global teams and enjoy working with a smart technology focused organization in a fast-paced environment.Preference for candidates in Bay Area, Boston, Novi, Portland or Toronto to work hybrid/remote.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and facilitating VP staff level and other key stakeholder meetings, ensuring meeting effectivenessOperating with an AI first mindset, leveraging smart technology to bring insights and efficiency to daily operationsHelping to maximize the impact of the VP Design staff, and assisting with the health and development of that teamManaging the PDMS-Design strategic planning processIdentifying key decisions and serving as a Decision-Making coach and facilitatorManaging the Design Program Management function and direct reports to maximize efficiency, speed, and impact of software deliveries Developing and executing the organization’s communication strategy, including C-level communication tools such as visual presentations, deck building, content management and governance as well as organization wide forums such as all-hands, internal web sites, newsletters, etc.Ensuring preparation for regular check-ins, interlocks, updates and report outs typically with Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and virtual meeting formats with attendees from multiple time zonesCollaborating with the PDMS Chief of Staff cohort and operating as a leader within the broader organizationMinimum QualificationsMinimum of 10+ years of experience of program and/or process management, with associated strategy and people development preferredAccomplishments as a team builder and facilitator capable of helping drive decisions and create clarity in complex, matrixed environmentExperience hiring, scaling, and leading high-performing program management teamsSignificant experience in managing change across a complex organizationSuccessful background in building and executing broad technical communication plansAble to turn highly complex technical projects into simple components that are easy to understandSuccessful background in building and galvanizing effective teamsExperience with C-level presentation building, excellent communication skillsHighly proficient with rapidly evolving AI tools and Microsoft O365 a mustProficiency with AirTable or other project management tools and techniques preferredLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $165,800 and $268,180. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
