In this role you will lead and coach Mid-Market sales teams identifying, developing, and retaining high talent who deliver value to the company’s business. You will play a hands-on role with the field sales organization in this customer facing and highly visible position, including direct participation in closing deals at key accounts.Your day-to-day Create and execute both strategic and tactical plans to significantly increase our presence, revenue and market share in the territoryLead a team of virtual Mid-Market account managers throughout the regionEstablish and maintain key regional customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer baseDefine partner plan and work with the channel to drive incremental revenueMaintain up-to-date knowledge of company’s competitive positioning in the marketplacePartner with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to close deals, drive revenue and adoptionWhat you bring to the team5+ years of experience successfully leading high performing field sales teams spread over a large geographyPrior experience selling Security or Enterprise SaaS solutions preferredStrong knowledge of new and current technologies and trends specifically in the security industryStrong security industry contacts in the prospective customer and influencer communitiesOutstanding consultative selling skills and ability to clearly and effectively articulate the company’s value propositionStrong business acumen with the ability to create a business plan, build a strong business pipeline, accurately forecast and close businessExperience driving and participating in outbound callingExperience building demand generation plans with marketingMust reside in Northern Cal or PacNorthWestWhy Proofpoint?
