You'll be part of a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our customer experience digital messaging communication services. The ideal candidate will help drive innovation in our cloud-based email infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our messaging services.Responsibilities / Job DutiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable messaging processing services within our cloud-based microservice architectureImplement features supporting message routing, delivery, tracking, and analyticsBuild and maintain integrations with social networks such as Meta and XParticipate in on-call rotation to maintain service reliabilityContribute to architectural decisions and technical design reviewsWrite comprehensive automated tests for new features and existing functionality Minimum Requirements:3+ years of software engineering experience with JavaExperience with distributed systems and microservice architecturesProven track record of building fault-tolerant and highly available systemsProficiency in working with REST APIsExperience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end)Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWSStrong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinkingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in distributed teamsSelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyStrong collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset Desired Skills & Experience:Experience working with Meta, X and / or any other social networkDynamoDB for message storage and trackingSQS/SNS for asynchronous message processingLambda for serverlessKnowledge of messaging deliverability best practicesExperience with monitoring and observability toolsFamiliarity with compliance requirements (GDPR, CAN-SPAM) Work Environment:Fast-paced, agile development environmentRemote-friendly with distributed team collaborationRegular participation in code reviews and technical discussionsCommitment to continuous learning and improvementAdherence to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics The ideal candidate would also have experience with:Amazon Web Services (Dynamo, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.)Java      TypescriptGitNetworking: TCP/IP, subnets, network ACLs, DNS, load balancingExperience with implementing digital channels, e.g., SMS, Facebook, Twitter, Line, WhatsAppIf a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Genesys® empowers more than 8,000 organizations worldwide to create the best customer and employee experiences.
