This worldwide team is composed of contract negotiators who handle work across Workday’s customer base and net new accounts. The team is asked to manage a large volume of requests and interact with several cross functional teams.Workday’s legal department is looking for a high-performing Contracts Negotiator to join our team. In this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with outstanding attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills and a positive attitude.About the RoleWHEN APPLYING, PLEASE SUBMIT AN ENGLISH VERSION OF YOUR RESUMEKey ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary legal contact and negotiator for Workday’s legal teamManage workflow, document generation and review processes for a variety of contract types, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distributionAssist with maintenance of contracts management system as well as implementation and enforcement of contract practices and policiesCoordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review cycles, acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, copies, questions, etc.Review proposed modifications to contracts and work with internal business partners and third parties to negotiate terms, and obtain approvals for modifications as requiredDraft and revise contract wording to address various situations as they ariseMaintain processes between the legal department and other groups and collaborate on ways to continually improve the contracts administration processProvide support to in-house legal staff, including research, correspondence and record-keepingExecute assigned projects as determined by needs of the business and departmentAbout YouBasic Qualifications5+ years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environmentBachelor’s Degree or aboveExperience in a law firm or legal department is requiredLicensed attorney is desired but not required Other QualificationsProficient in Microsoft Office products and Google applicationsExperience with a contract management system, e.g.. Apttus or othersExperience with electronic signature software, e.g. EchoSign, Docusign, SalesforceStrong collaborative spirit and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented environmentLanguage skills in addition to Spanish and English would be a plus, but not required.Personal AttributesStrong persuasive abilities, including outstanding influence and communication skills.Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented, practical environment.Demonstrates enthusiasm for solving problems and adding value to the Company.Professional in all ways.
