This role is centered on scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed systems design. You’ll work on services that must be always-on, self-healing, and performant at massive scale. Expect to spend your time deep in Java, async programming, and AWS native technologies such as DynamoDB, Redis, and S3, while also leveraging tools like Kafka and others when they’re the best fit for the problem.You will also collaborate closely with other engineering teams across Genesys - reviewing designs, offering architectural guidance, and helping ensure that features built by partner teams integrate cleanly and cohesively into the platform.What This Role Isn’tThis role doesn’t have a significant focus on front-end or UI development. You won’t (primarily) be building web pages or dashboards; you’ll be engineering the platform infrastructure that makes every other service possible.
