The Senior Income Tax Accountant should be familiar with a variety of tax related concepts, practices, and procedures globally. This position reports to the Director, Global Taxation.A Typical Day:Demonstrate advanced level knowledge and understanding of global corporate income taxes, including ASC 740 accounting for income taxesAssist in collecting and delivering data to outsourced third-party compliance providers for global income tax provision reporting and return preparationPerform detailed reviews of draft income tax filings prepared by external advisorsPrepare quarterly tax provision entries as part of the tax accounting processPrepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and facilitate timely paymentsResearch complex issues and communicate findings to relevant stakeholdersLead responses to tax notices and manage resolutionsTrack and summarize developments in federal, state, and international tax legislationCollect supporting documentation for tax audits conducted by various tax authorities, including coordination with external advisors and internal stakeholdersSupport the development and mentorship of local and international tax staffIdentify and implement process improvement initiatives within tax operationsMaintain clear documentation of procedures and processes for all tax-related functions and ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX complianceAssist with outsourced indirect tax compliance, including:Maintain working knowledge of US and international indirect tax complianceCollect information for property tax complianceProcess miscellaneous tax payments as neededPrepare and submit applications/renewals for business and sales tax licensesBring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 6 years of experience – preferably within the software or SaaS industryCPA or EA certification (or active candidate) is preferredIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with NetSuite (Oracle) and tax provision software, such as CorpTax, OneSource, or Bloomberg Tax Provision (formerly known as Prodigy), and ability to evaluate process automation opportunitiesProven experience with account reconciliations along with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic with a focus on accuracy and attention to detailInquisitive mindset with a desire to continuously learn new skills, tools, and processesThis position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
