ROLE SUMMARY
In this position, you will be a seasoned data professional fluent in all forms of Bill of Materials. You will be a leader in driving accountability and accuracy across the data facilitated by the New Product Introduction team. The opening will be located at our Normal, IL facility and reports directly to the Engineering Data Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data management and analysis within a wide range of applications, centering on the Vehicle Bill of Material and Change Management.
Develop deep understanding of systems and processes within Rivian, providing direction and training to colleagues within the day to day workspace.
Lead engineering data processes within working teams.
Triage System and build issues, fixing root causes liaising with affected parties.
Manage Engineering Data from ‘Design to Line’, being responsible for data accuracy and timeliness of information within systems.
Display problem-solving capabilities, resolving technical issues within complex systems.
Show self-motivation with a hands-on, positive attitude.
Ability to cultivate and maintain positive work relationships with a cross functional team, including Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Service and Manufacturing.
Drive change within the business, ensuring that high data standards result in leadership’s ability to steer vehicle programs.
Maintain composure in demanding situations.
Learn new systems/software quickly and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment
Validate data integrity and resolving technical issues within complex systems
Ability to cultivate and maintain positive work relationships with a cross functional team, including Engineering, Finance, IT, Planning, and Manufacturing
Drive change within the business, ensuring that high data standards result in leadership’s ability to steer vehicle programs
Develop process flows of data structure and determine areas of continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering discipline, computer science, or equivalent STEM subject required
2-5+ years of experience in related data field
SAP Knowledge: iPPE and Classical Bill of Materials
Data Visualization Experience: Tableau, PowerBi, etc.
3D experience Knowledge: CATIA, Enovia, and Delmia Bill of Materials
High level of attention to detail
Strong resilience and work ethic

Collaborative & action driven approach
Love data & whiteboards
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel
Experience with PLM systems and their interface
Experience with systems integration across multiple platforms
Coding skills a plus (Python, SQL, etc.)
Automotive or manufacturing experience is a plus
