As a Associate Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead a team of software engineers responsible for building and delivering innovative solutions into our common platform. As an ideal candidate, you have led teams developing cross-platform desktop solutions especially in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to build and guide highly effective and high-performing teams, while inspiring them to remain at the cutting edge.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of software engineers to ensure execution and unlock creativityTake full ownership of initiative and deliver it end to end while working with various stakeholdersDevelop staff by coaching, facilitating career aspirations and providing growth opportunitiesProvide insight, feedback, and recommendations to senior management regarding the development, capabilities, and potential of current and future software projectsProvide leadership to achieve high standards of “done” in areas of quality, security, scalability, user experienceAid in the design and building of solutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration for a broad range of applications and infrastructures, including cloud services, and desktopBuild collaborative partnerships with the Software Architects, Technical leads, Product Owners, Product Managers and Experience DesignersDrive Engineering best practices within the team to ensure efficiency, maintainability, and high quality in all software development projects.Minimum QualificationsBA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MS in Computer Science or a related degree is preferred)5+ years of relevant industry experience with relevant experience in supervision of any technical execution among teamRelevant experience building cross-platform Desktop/GUI applications on Windows/Linux/MacStrong experience with desktop technologies and tools such as C++, Python, Go, Qt, Jenkins, GitHubProven experience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologiesProactive, quick decision maker with excellent communication and written skillsExpert experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologiesExperience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholders#LI-PW1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
