ROLE SUMMARY:
Rivian's Vancouver team is seeking an Android Mobile Application Developer to will develop mobile software applications and SDKs for Rivian products. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop Rivian mobile applications and its associated SDK for mobile devices on Android OS
Develop sample and demo applications making use of our technology
Collaborating with the and product and the design team to define app features.
Ensuring quality and performance of application to specifications.
Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks. Fixing application bugs before final release.
Publishing application on Google Play Store.
Maintaining the code and atomization of the application.
Designing and implementing application updates.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
12+ Years of full-time software engineering experience
Prior experience as an Android Developer using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK
Experience in publishing an application on the Google Play store
Proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC/MVP
Experience leading design and development of features end to end
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL to effectively integrate Android applications
Experience building UI using different layouts and optimizing them
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Familiarity with various Unit/UI testing tools
Problem solver with good analytical skills
