Our Ways of Working
Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.
Our partner teams are distributed remotely across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. To foster strong relationships, we meet in person at least twice a year—once as a company and once within our departments. Whether in person or remote, we show up consistently, stay focused on our purpose, and deliver results—together, from anywhere. This role supports our Weekend Shift, reporting on-site, Friday - Sunday from 6:00am - 6:00pm (3/12 schedule) at our Fulfillment Center in Commercial Point, Ohio.
What the Role Is
Babylist is hiring a confident and operationally driven Weekend Operations Manager to lead our weekend team at our Fulfillment Center in Commercial Point, Ohio. In this role, you’ll oversee safe, accurate, and efficient operations while guiding a team of 80+ teammates to perform at their best and stay engaged.
This role is not just about keeping the shift running. You’ll be making an impact at a foundational level - establishing processes, setting standards, and building a culture that will shape how our fulfillment center operates for years to come. You’ll be trusted to handle challenges independently, from driving operational performance to resolving employee relations issues, all while fostering an environment built on respect, fairness, and accountability.
Who You Are
Proven Builder: You have a history of success in building operational excellence from the ground up, particularly in startup or high-growth environments
Experienced Leader: You bring 10+ years of management experience, with at least 5 years in warehouse operations, successfully managing teams of 80+ people.You’ve led weekend or non-traditional shifts and understand how to motivate and support them.
Decisive and Confident: You’re comfortable making important decisions on your own during the shift, ensuring safety, fairness, and productivity even without direct senior leadership or HR support on site
People Developer: You coach and mentor your direct reports and support them in coaching their own teammates, creating a culture where development and accountability happen at every level
Inclusive Leader: You respect and value people from all cultures and backgrounds, building trust and belonging so teammates feel supported and teams thrive
High Integrity: You set clear boundaries, stick to them, and hold yourself and others accountable while modeling the behavior you expect

Operational Expert: You bring deep expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), along with strong knowledge of inventory control and workflow optimization. Experience with HighJump/Koerber is a strong plus
Results-Oriented Leader: You’re data-driven, understand KPIs, and consistently deliver results in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Collaborative Partner: You build strong cross-shift and cross-department relationships that keep the broader operation aligned

Establish a Strong Foundation: Build and implement the processes, standards, and systems that will define how the night shift operates long-term
Drive Weekend Operational Excellence: Lead, monitor, and optimize workflows to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining smooth handoffs to weekday teams.
Lead with Confidence: Serve as the on-site leader for weekend operations, trusted to resolve challenges and make decisions that keep the team safe, engaged, and productive.
Develop High-Performing Teams: Coach and mentor your direct reports, giving them the tools, feedback, and support they need to succeed. Partner with them to ensure they are actively coaching and developing their own teammates, creating a culture where growth and accountability exist at every level
Foster a Positive Culture: Build an inclusive, motivating environment where people feel respected, supported, and accountable
Address HR and ER Issues in Real Time: Navigate employee relations issues fairly and consistently, de-escalating and resolving situations on the spot while protecting both the employee experience and business needs
Deliver Results: Consistently achieve or exceed operational KPIs by leveraging data, analyzing performance trends, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Enhance Safety and Compliance: Ensure all employees follow safety standards and protocols, minimizing risk and maintaining a secure workplace
Leverage Technology: Use WMS systems to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve accuracy. Experience with HighJump/Koerber is highly valued
Plan for the Future: Anticipate upcoming business needs and ensure your team, processes, and systems are ready to meet them
Collaborate Across the Business: Partner with other shift leaders, warehouse functions, and corporate teams to align priorities, share insights, and ensure consistency across operations
While this role involves leadership and oversight responsibilities, it also requires regular physical presence and activity on the fulfillment floor. Physical expectations include:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
Ability to walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
Ability to lift and move items up to 20 lbs occasionally throughout the shift
Comfort with pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive motions as needed to support team operations

Babylist follows a market-based approach to compensation, with pay varying based on location, experience, and qualifications. In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the starting salary range for this role is $120,350.00 to $130,000.00 , representing the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this position.
Your starting salary within this range will be determined based on your skills, experience, and work location, with future adjustments informed by role growth, performance, and internal pay equity.
