ROLE SUMMARY
The Commercial/Fleet Customer Quality Manager will serve as the lead Quality interface with key Commercial and Fleet customers, providing a premier customer experience while establishing and managing critical customer KPI's. As the Single Point of Contact, this individual is responsible to ensure organizational alignment with the customer's priorities, building strong cross-functional partnerships ultimately leading to exceeding customer expectations. This individual must exhibit strong statistical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This opening is located in Normal, IL and reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Customer Quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish strategic plans, policies, and procedures at all levels to deliver with exceptional quality and a premier customer experience · Establish, track, and deliver key KPI’s to ensure customer quality/warranty concerns are rapidly addressed · Single point of contact for the day-to-day activities of customer-specific product quality initiatives · Train, coach and develop, and inform our employees on how we exceed our customer’s expectations for overall quality and vehicle craftsmanship · Assist with data analysis around campaign prevention and service bulletins · Drive Prediction, Prevention, and Protection of quality issues and devise risk mitigation solutions by leading cross-functional teams · Ensure product and process teams at all levels have a line of sight to vehicle performance after-sales · Work hand in hand with the commercial and service organization to develop, retrieve, and utilize field data to continually improve products and reduce warranty costs
QUALIFICATIONS
·Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree, Masters Preferred · Strong statistical and problem-solving capability, Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred · 8-10 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership in Quality and/or Warranty Management · Demonstrated leadership in driving overall vehicle product quality improvements · Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously · Willingness and ability to work in a strong cross-functional environment (technical and non-technical) · Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment · Understanding of project management fundamentals · Travel 20%
