Role Summary
On this team you are going to be responsible for defining product requirements for a wide range of Adventure Products from strategic partnerships to lifestyle and brand defining accessory products. The Product Line Manager will own and assist in the product development phases by collaborating with various teams during the research, concept and execution phases. In addition, the position will help identify key product or strategic partnership opportunities, document phases of the product and manage tradeoffs involving features, schedule, cost and pricing. The ideal candidate will have experience synthesizing the voice of the customer, developing product strategy and requirements in the outdoor, automotive or consumer goods industries.
Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying Strategic Partnership and/or Lifestyle Accessory product opportunities - including conducting market research, competitive benchmarking, distillation of consumer insights from a variety of sources, generating business cases and market value justifications for Product opportunities
Responsible for defining strategy and vision, use-cases, prioritizing features, user experience, and portfolio ecosystem compatibility
Track phases and oversee execution of the product: product briefs, product requirement documents, timing plans, resource requirements, budget, development and execution plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. Engineering, Design, Program Management, Commercial, Supply Chain, Brand) through the complete product development lifecycle
Prioritize product tradeoffs involving features, schedule, cost, pricing, and market viability
Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for future products
Present opportunities to and drive decisions with the Management
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in outdoor, automotive or consumer goods industries
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Human Centered or Product Design, Product Marketing or a related field
Proven successful record with concept to creation of Product or Program Management or similar
Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Passion and dedication to work in a dynamic and exciting team environment
Experience with strategic or brand partnership frameworks
Experience in consumer electronic or softgood product categories a plus
MS/MA/MBA a plus
Salary range for California Based Applicants: $168,000-$193,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
