Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.  ROLE SUMMARY This role is responsible for data accuracy and availability for engineering changes within a commodity group. The opening is located at our Normal, IL facility and reports directly to the Manager of Engineering Change. RESPONSIBILITIES Own specific commodity group or engineering system – and be data-based point of contact for upstream and downstream teams. Validation of Engineering Change data within systems to ensure overall accuracy and harmony to protect operations. Engage with master data systems – including PLM, ERP, and MES. Develop change data summaries and KPIs to report overall readiness to internal change teams, and external operations or engineering groups. Escalate risks and engage with other operations data teams and NPI. Ensure systematic accuracy and tracking within Bill of Materials – including EBOM, MBOM, OBOM, BOP, Configurations and Object Dependencies, and Effectivity. Report on overall logistics and material flow readiness – engaging with design, manufacturing, packaging, and process engineering. Evaluate data in PFEP, and vendor portals Report on overall procurement readiness – engaging with design, purchasing, supplier development, and material planning. Consider inventory and obsolescence, scheduling agreements, MRP/Demand planning from ERP system and vendor portals Simulate changes through system to evaluate overall financial and operational impact and evaluate risk. Review Cost of Goods and Inventory grief – and ensure changes are processed cleaning and financially closed. Use data to support cross-functional meetings with Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing, Scheduling, Supply Chain, and Operations to give overall data health and readiness assessment. QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Materials Requirement Planning “MRP” Software such as SAP College degree or “3” years equivalent experience required. Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook programs. Experience with PLM systems and their interface with MRP preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong team orientation and cross functional attitude. Ability to create and present detailed and summary reports. Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment. Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment Ability to withstand exposure to solvents, fumes, heat, and odors normally associated with paint application. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
