JOB SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for Level 2 support at the Normal manufacturing plant, leading a team of Support Engineers. This is very central role, where you will be interacting with many other teams and have a big impact on smooth day to day workings.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for 24/7 level 2 support of Normal manufacturing plant.
Lead a team of Manufacturing Technical Support Engineers
Manage daily work for plant IT operations for all shifts.
Drive root cause analysis on critical issues to ensure site reliability following ITSM and Problem mgt processes.
Resolve repetitive issues and assist in automating or resolving these items to provide the best possible user experience.
Responsible for setting, monitoring, and meeting SLA & SLO targets
Define and develops ITSM processes and metrics to drive performance and process improvements.
Responsible for the overall health of manufacturing applications.
Recommend and deploy system and process improvements
Partner with SRE team to provide seamless experience.
Identify and deliver automation to standardize and simplify process.
Work as a liaison with manufacturing leads to improve and resolve business issues
Participate in the performance management process for all direct reports
Prioritize project and work and backlog
Available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet operational objectives.
Qualifications:
Individuals must have 5+ years of experience with complex automated manufacturing systems
College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business, Manufacturing, Industrial, Engineering or a related subject desired.
Experience managing teams and working in a 24/7 environment
In depth knowledge of MFG systems and technologies including MES, Quality, Metrology and integration.
Understanding of network and controls including PLC’s \ tag communication, subnets and active directory
In depth knowledge system development and/or scripting experience in Java, Go, Powershell or Ansible or similar language
Knowledge of edge computing and containerization
Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL processes and practices.
Experience resolving complex issues through root cause analysis.
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, a self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
