Role Summary
Rivian Finance seeks an Operational Audit Manager to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in the delivery of impactful operational and integrated audits. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading audits and implementing audit methodologies. As an Operational Audit Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Responsibilities
Mapping complex process flows and controls including their impact on downstream processes, reporting, and metrics;
Planning and executing operational and integrated audits including reviews of new and enhanced business processes, process changes, and system implementations;
Identifying risks, designing, and executing tests of controls, using techniques including data analysis;
Guiding team members in their execution of audit projects including review of their work to ensure compliance with internal audit standards;
Evaluating and framing audit observations within the relevant business context, formulating practical recommendations that balance stakeholder needs;
Performing root cause analysis and drafting audit reports that provide useful insights to management;
Monitoring and validation closure of management’s action plans;
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with business partners and key stakeholders;
Effectively managing relationships with the Internal Audit co-sourcing partners to ensure cohesive and collaborative execution.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive audit experience in either Big 4 public accounting, and/or in industry, including at least 1-2 years of supervisory responsibility;
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Law);
CPA or CIA certification (or equivalent) required;
Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills;
Demonstrated ability to evaluate business processes including strong knowledge of control design;
Ability to look ahead, anticipate questions, independently assess risk, and think critically and creatively;
Highly organized, able to work flexibly across boundaries and navigate in dynamic environments.
