Role Summary
Rivian has embarked on a company-wide program to achieve the long-term cost structure that will allow the company to drive towards sustainable growth and impact. This program is designed to maximize efficiency across the key cost elements of material costs, logistics, labor and overhead, indirect costs, and capital expenditures.
This role focuses on driving end-to-end optimization within Rivian’s indirect costs. You will drive transformational change alongside business/functional owners, procurement, and finance.
This role is best suited for someone comfortable exercising a diverse skill set into varying work. A “day in the life” can involve a presentation to a senior leader, facilitating team discussions and driving the conversation to outcomes, deep diving into a data set, and drafting a process improvement.
Responsibilities
Support teams in the collective generation & implementation of cost reduction ideas to achieve our savings targets. Drive step-change dialogue in demand-driven and supply-side optimization levers through taking a devil’s advocate and continuous improvement perspective
Drive indirect cost program governance and accountability through workstream program management and weekly reporting to senior leadership
Support the ongoing implementation, metric tracking / dashboard development, and effectiveness evaluation of spend control towers
Role-model change management & Company values: operating with an efficient & lean ownership mindset, fact-based decision making, a bias for action, and Rivian’s Compass values
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in Consulting, Cost-Reduction or Transformational Change program experience, Finance, Supply Chain or Continuous Improvement
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Extremely strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence; comfort in relationship management across levels
Concise verbal and written communication; ability to synthesize information into key points
Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations autonomously (storyline, executive summary, charts & content)
Strong Excel and analytical skills; tableau experience preferred
Salary Range
Salary range for Irvine, CA based applicants: $135,000 - $155,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law)
