Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.  Role Summary     In this position, you will be responsible for building various development prototype & data collection vehicle platforms, working with a variety of ADAS sensors, vehicle electrical and mechanical sub-systems.  This opening is located at our Palo Alto, CA facility   Responsibilities   Perform prototype sensor (Radars, LiDARs, cameras) installation, mounting and wiring on vehicle platforms   Fabricate and/or modify existing prototype sensor components/fixtures and wire harnesses   Debug, diagnosis and repair of prototype vehicle’s electrical/mechanical/software issues   Create and maintain detailed documentation of all work performed (Jira/Confluence)   Install instrumentation, test equipment, and other components on prototype vehicles   Perform pre and post-test inspections on sensor systems   Build and assemble calibration charts and fixtures   Maintain test vehicles & test equipment & vehicle lab area   Maintain and order vehicle lab supplies, parts, and hardware inventory   Test drive vehicles on closed tracks as needed   Always ensure exceptional safety and quality plus a clean working environment   General working hours: 8am - 5pm   Qualifications   5+ years of technician work experience in the automotive industry   Experience with debugging vehicle networks such as Ethernet, CAN and LIN   Experience working with high voltage and an understanding of high voltage safety practices   Fabrication experience (Wood/Metal/Plastic/etc.)   Strong automotive electrical and mechanical understanding   Working knowledge of the use of electrical test meters, scopes, etc   Strong diagnostic skills to determine problems and execute repairs   Understand how to read electrical schematics and use manufacturers’ product data sheets   Ability to communicate ideas and concerns clearly   High School diploma or GED   Able to lift to 50 pounds   Valid driver license with clean record   Availability for 10% travel   Preferred Qualifications   Experience with a scripting language (such as Python) Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $45.20 - $51.90 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
