Role Summary
Our Pose Team focuses on delivering odometry, localization, and calibration solutions that run on the vehicle and in the cloud. In this role you will serve as a primary GNSS expert on the Pose team. Your focus will be on development, testing, deployment and maintenance of in-house GNSS positioning engine algorithms. You will also focus on how these algorithms are integrated in the broader Pose and autonomy systems.
Responsibilities
Developing high precision GNSS algorithms and integrity monitoring for these algorithms and migrating these algorithms to a real-time embedded system
Developing process and tools to measure the performance of these systems and improving them over time
Working with others in Pose, Systems, Safety, Vehicle Hardware and other related teams to make system level decisions around GNSS integration
Providing feedback to hardware teams and working with suppliers to make decisions related to GNSS hardware selection
Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
7+ years of GNSS experience including research and development experience in the following areas:
GNSS Positioning Engine (PE)
High-precision GNSS (RTK, PPP, Integer Ambiguity Resolution, OSR, SSR)
GNSS architecture (RFFE, ME, PE)
GNSS integrity (RAIM, Protection Level, Jamming/Spoofing detection)
GNSS troubleshooting (multipath, coexistence, accuracy, convergence time)
Stochastic estimation/Kalman filtering
Sensor fusion
Autonomous Vehicles/ADAS
C/C++ programming experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
Good team player with great communication skills
Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GNSS measurement engine (ME)
Experience with both OSR and SSR
Sensor fusion with IMU and/or Odometry
Prototyping real-time applications
Embedded software development and optimization experience
Software development for safety critical systems (ISO 26262)
Vehicle integration experience
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $230,000.00 - $264,000.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
