Job Requisition ID #25WD91832Position Overview As a Senior Software Development Engineer you will join the Engineering & DevOps Services (EDS) team within AI, Data & Automation (AIDA) at Autodesk. Our team drives the Enterprise AI Strategy by building and operationalising the Enterprise AI Fabric, enabling intelligent search, LLM-powered workflows, and AI-driven agents across Autodesk.We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer III (SDE-3) to lead the development and operationalisation of AI Platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering with platform ownership, ensuring the successful implementation of tools and frameworks that enable intelligent search, LLM-powered actions, and AI-driven productivity agents across the organisation.You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and deploying AI-enabled solutions that integrate with enterprise collaboration platforms and intranet websites. As a senior engineer, you will also guide junior developers, influence architectural decisions, and ensure scalability, security, and adoption of enterprise AI tools.ResponsibilitiesOperationalise AI Platforms: Deploy, integrate, and maintain enterprise AI tools with strong governance, security, and complianceSolution Development: Design and build APIs, connectors, and workflows to enable AI-powered search, agents, and productivity toolsPlatform Engineering: Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of AI services across cloud environmentsLead the development and operationalisation of enterprise AI platforms, enabling intelligent search, LLM-powered workflows, and AI-driven agentsDevOps & Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational practices to ensure smooth adoption of AI platformsCollaborate with product, AI/ML, and infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with business goalsDesign & Architecture: Apply modern design patterns, microservices, and cloud-native approaches to build loosely coupled, resilient systemsMentorship & Best Practices: Guide junior engineers, promote coding standards, and champion Autodesk's "Build With Trust" principlesContinuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging tools and frameworks to strengthen the enterprise AI ecosystemEstablish and enforce engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and observabilityEnsure compliance with governance, security, and responsible AI guidelines while building enterprise-ready AI solutionsContinuously evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and processes to strengthen the AI platform ecosystemPartner with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences for AI-powered toolsIncorporate Autodesk's “Build With Trust” principles in every phase of the build process, adhering to Security, Availability & Reliability, and Recoverability complianceMinimum QualificationsExperience: 6-10 years of software development experience, with 3+ years in platform engineering, cloud, or AI/ML solutionsEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experienceProgramming Skills: Strong in Python, Java, or Node.jsAI/LLM Knowledge: Familiarity with LLM APIs, semantic/vector search, and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel)Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure; strong knowledge of IAM, networking, serverless, and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).DevOps: Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM), and monitoring frameworksSecurity & Governance: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance in enterprise environmentsCollaboration Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication and ability to work with global stakeholdersExperience in web application & RESTful, GraphQL web service development. Dealing with.
