This worldwide team comprises contract management professionals who handle work across Workday’s customer base and net new accounts. The team is asked to manage a large volume of requests and interact with several cross functional teams.About the RoleIn this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with a solid work ethic, impeccable attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills and a positive attitude. Workday is a fast-growing company, and you will need to prioritize, work independently and be proactive. The utmost confidentiality is imperative, as you will be working on sensitive projects and will be privy to confidential information.ResponsibilitiesNegotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partnersWork with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contractsAnalyse contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirementsManage workflow for contract review process for a variety of contract types, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distributionAssist with maintenance and improvements of contracts management processes and system as well as implementation and enforcement of contract policiesCoordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review, acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, questions, etc.Review proposed modifications to contracts and work with internal business partners and third parties to negotiate terms and acquire approvals for modifications as requiredDraft and revise contract wording to address various situations as they ariseMaintain processes between the legal department and other groups, collaborating to continually improve the contracts administration processProvide administrative and other support to in-house legal staff, including research, correspondence and record-keepingComplete assigned projects as determined by needs of the business and departmentAbout YouBasic Qualifications3+years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environmentBachelor’s Degree or equivalent   Other QualificationsProficient with SalesforceProficient in Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with a contract management system, i.e. ApttusExperience with electronic signature software, i.e. EchoSign, DocusignAbility to set priorities, be flexible and handle multiple tasks, and to track and follow up on projectsDetail oriented, meticulous and strong organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriateAbility to work on short and long-term projectsAble and comfortable working with contract redlinesExcellent customer service skillsCourteous, flexible, highly organized, competent and reliable, proactive and uses independent judgmentPursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.Are you being referred to one of our roles?
