Job Requisition ID #25WD91597Position OverviewWe're growing our Cloud Management team within Autodesk's Enterprise IT organization. This team is responsible for defining, provisioning, and managing enterprise public clouds that help enable developer productivity. The team is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer - GCP who will have a critical role in how we define and manage our public cloud on Google Cloud Platform.Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively and take accountability for engineering projects at the company's core and at the leading edge of the latest industry technology trends. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems and experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to share your thoughts and knowledge effectively.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and automate a robust, scalable, and secure GCP landing zone from the ground up, incorporating best practices for networking, security, identity, and resource managementMigrate diverse applications to the new GCP landing zone, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrityIdentify and implement cost optimization strategies, performance enhancements, and operational efficiencies within our GCP environmentDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager to automate the provisioning and management of GCP resourcesDesign, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications to GCP, ensuring fast, reliable, and automated releasesWork closely with our existing Cloud Management team to build GCP knowledge, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative learning environmentPartner with the Security team to implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards within GCPImplement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for GCP infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and performanceDiagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues within the GCP environmentMinimum QualificationsSignificant hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform. GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) are highly desirableStrong understanding and practical experience with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, and site reliability engineering (SRE) principlesDemonstrated experience in migrating applications and infrastructure between cloud providers or from on-premises to cloudProficient with IaC tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager for managing GCP resourcesStrong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with at least one programming language commonly used in DevOps (e.g., Go, Python)Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Cloud Build, or similarExperience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred)Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, VPNs, Load Balancers, DNS) in GCPFamiliarity with cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and data encryptionExcellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues5+ years of DevOps experience in Google CloudBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related fieldExperience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Azure are added advantage#LI-PW1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
