This role ensures that our AI services, models, and applications are developed and deployed in alignment with enterprise frameworks, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in enterprise operations, you will play a critical role in establishing trust, accountability, and compliance for AI solutions. Joining Genesys means becoming part of a collaborative team that is redefining how companies engage with their customers.About the TeamThe Data, Analytics & AI team is a central group composed of Data Engineering, Data Platform/Technologies, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Product, AI, and Data Governance practices. The team partners with business functions across sales, finance, marketing, customer success, and product, while serving as a strategic link to operational systems that run the business, including Salesforce, Workday, and more.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement AI governance frameworks, aligning with enterprise data governance policiesEstablish guidelines and controls for responsible AI development, deployment, and monitoring (fairness, transparency, accountability)Drive adoption of compliance and privacy standards for AI initiatives (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2, and industry-specific regulations)Develop policies for data usage, model training, knowledge orchestration, and large language model customization to ensure compliance and ethical useImplement frameworks for AI audits, monitoring, and explainability to meet regulatory and enterprise requirementsPartner with security and compliance teams to integrate privacy and security into AI workflowsMonitor emerging regulations and industry best practices in AI governanceCollaborate with AI platform engineers and data scientists to embed governance into AI workflows, including model lifecycle, data usage, and retrieval-augmented generation servicesWork with application teams to ensure AI solutions meet governance and compliance requirements before deploymentProvide training and guidance for business and technical teams on responsible AI practices and governance standardsDefine and track key governance metrics such as transparency, compliance adherence, bias detection, and audit readinessSupport certification and approval processes for AI models and servicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Law, or a related field5+ years of experience in data governance, compliance, or risk management with exposure to AI/ML systemsStrong knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2)Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as model lifecycle, training data, embeddings, vector stores, and retrieval-augmented generationProven experience with governance frameworks in enterprise environmentsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey governance requirements to both technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred QualificationsExperience in AI governance, responsible AI, or ethical AI initiativesUnderstanding of explainable AI (XAI), bias detection, and model interpretability frameworksFamiliarity with MLOps and data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Immuta, MLflow, Model Cards)Experience partnering with legal, compliance, and audit teams in regulated industriesStrong track record of policy development and adoption in complex enterprisesCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
