The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.THE ROLEInsomniac is looking for an enthusiastic laborer to provide detail-oriented support in creating tent structures around the festival. Tent Installer - Experience Laborer will work with a small team to install tent walls, lighting gels and small signage throughout the festival, followed by the breakdown of these elements post event. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Project Manager and the Food & Beverage Operations Lead.RESPONSIBILITIESSupport a small team to install 10’ x10’ and 10’ x 5’ tent wall panels throughout the festival groundsInstall pony wall (half wall) tent hardware and branded vinyl pony walls across the front of all tents across the festivalFollow the provided layout of elaborate festival brands and install the wall designs, sizes and light colors to match accordinglySystematically identify and transport the correct wall designs from the central compound to designated festival areasApply lighting gel to designated tents as specified in the provided lighting planInstall small signage on festival tents as requiredBuild and place freestanding signage stands as requiredSet up tables, chairs and pop up tents as requiredWill frequently climb ladders while simultaneously using other toolsWill be expected to clean up all loose pieces during the installation and tear down (cut and clean up zip ties)Execute tasks according to instructions provided by the Operations Lead; flexibility to shift between responsibilities as needed throughout the day is a mustMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring all company tools and equipment are accounted for and properly handledTrack and document inventory moving in and out of the compound using the provided labeling and organization systems.Efficiently dismantle and remove all installation materials, including zip ties, tie lines, tent walls, and pony walls, with careClean, fold, and organize vinyl materials post-removal while keeping accurate inventory recordsSafely lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights using ladders as requiredQUALIFICATIONS1 year experience with working on festival crews or production environment preferred but not requiredAbility to read a festival floor plan or CAD map preferredAbility to distinguish between various intricate designs and pattern-matchEnvironmentally aware to clean up any trash left behindFamiliarity with Google SheetsAbility to work with a small teamQuick use of a zip ties, bungee balls, tie strings and snipsAbility to stay neat and organizedHeavy equipment (scissor lift, fork lift) certifications preferred but not requiredOSHA 10 certification required by start dateWORK ENVIRONMENTMust be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environmentsMay work in drastic temperature climates on site at our eventsMust be willing travel to work events during evening, holidays and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlinesApplicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY We aspire to build teams that reflect and support the fans and artists we serve.
