Highlights issue and drives resolution when required.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting and resolution of 1st and 2nd level network related problemsRespond to and resolve DWDM & Metro networks issues within the timeframe of severity level agreementsReview and execute RPRs (re-provision requests) on Ciena DWDM Submarine and Ciena Metro Network with minimal supervisionSupport all aspects of the network management process assuring requests, implementation, and problems are delivered as required with no impact to the global communicationsDeploy and document changes in accordance with problem and change management processParticipate in managing projects introduced by engineering team assuring full implementation and documentation standards are adhered toComplete the projects objectives within timelinesInterpret, review and implement Metro Ethernet, Microwave and GPON networks designs from the core network planning teamPerform most effective approach to restore, recover, or alter configurations, logical or physical, to maintain service integrityEnsure that Equinix global and metro fiber network documentation is always accurate and up to dateQualificationsRequiredAbility to review and execute provisioning requests from Transmission Planning documentsAbility to troubleshoot, identify root causes and recommend solutionsAbility to install, commission, implement and configure according to design and specificationAbility to use basic working tools like ethernet Analyzer and optical testersAbility to monitor and manage the delivery of service especially by 3rd party vendors rendered to customersAbility to recognize and analyze data, basic causes of problems, and recommend solutions that meet the practical needs of the businessGood oral and written communication skillsTeamwork abilitiesAbility to work well under pressureGood knowledge of IP MPLSBachelors Degree in Engineering Or Equivalent ExperienceCCNA and Project ManagementEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
