If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:System Development for optical sensors          Embedded Software and System Development for opto-electronic components and sensors, senior level.More specific duties include the following:Product design starting at sensor physics and integrating optical / mechanical design with application firmwareFirmware and Software development for sensor applications, with focus on (but not limited to) optical Time-of-Flight / Lidar systems, spectrometers and new detector technologies for industrial optical sensing and communication systemsSoftware and System testing including test automatizationDefining System and Software specifications based on customer requirementsProject management, workpackage definition, timeplanning and regular status reportingContribution to Definition of measurement infrastructure and support of application testing as well as electrical / optical characterizationContribution to concept development of new ASICs for optical sensorsContribution to System engineering and concept development including modeling of sensor physics and suitable signal processing algorithmsContribution to the definition of production processes together with suppliers, with the Broadcom manufacturing team and our worldwide contract manufacturing partnersIssue product documentation, specification and application notesDesired proficiency in the following skills:Strong technical background in optical semiconductor design, sensor physics, processing and productionHigh interest in Sensor System Design including Software algorithm definition and implementation/test, potential to define new architecturesExperience with embedded systems and software testingKnowledge of application development and graphical user interfaces in the field of lab testing, using script languages (e.g. Phyton)  and/or C++, C#Laboratory experience in prototyping and electrical/optical measurementKnow how in the field of optical measurement and test setup integrationBroad interest in interdisciplinary work interfacing to electronics, optics, mechanical structures, and communication systemsSelf-contained, accurate working style and ability to integrate into teams across different functions and locationsGeneral Requirements:English communication skills, both verbal and written.
