ServiceTitan is looking for a Senior Counsel to serve as the primary legal point of contact for our subsidiaries, Aspire and FieldRoutes, handling a broad range of legal matters, proactively identifying issues, and collaborating with subject matter experts within the broader legal team as needed. This position will report to the company’s Associate General Counsel and be part of a growing Global Legal Team. The Senior Counsel will work closely with our Legal Team, commercial executives, and various department leaders on a wide range of legal matters for our Aspire and FieldRoutes subsidiaries, with a particular focus on proactive legal issue identification and resolution, while also negotiating partnership and strategic customer agreements for the broader ServiceTitan organization. While our headquarters are in Glendale, CA, this is a remote role. Candidates will need to be comfortable flexing periodically to accommodate Pacific time zone meetings/negotiations. This is an ideal position for candidates who enjoy tackling a wide variety of legal challenges and driving matters to a successful conclusion.What you'll do:Serve as primary legal point of contact for Aspire and FieldRoutes subsidiaries, handling a broad spectrum of legal mattersProactively identify legal issues and risks across subsidiary operations, conducting diligent inquiries to surface potential concerns.Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements relating to sales, partnerships, joint ventures, marketing, vendors, SaaS, B2B integrations, professional services, and software/intellectual property development and licensing for the ServiceTitan organizationCollaborate with and escalate matters to subject matter experts within the broader legal team for specialized issues (employment, privacy, regulatory, etc.) and work closely with subsidiary leadership teams on corporate governance, compliance, and operational legal mattersProvide legal counsel and practical business advice on deal structure, contract drafting and negotiation, risk assessment and management, and regulatory issuesSupport M&A integration activities and ongoing subsidiary managementCollaborate with the Associate General Counsel, other legal team members, and business leaders on improving contract management, workflows, processes, templates and best practices, and drive continuous improvement, scalability and operational excellence in legal processes across subsidiariesMentor junior team members as opportunities arise; Other duties as assignedWhat you'll bring:7-10 years of relevant legal experience, including significant in-house experience at a technology company, with a demonstrated ability to independently manage a wide range of legal issuesRelevant experience in-house is required; some law firm experience is preferredExperience negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial agreements, including sales agreements and complex partnership agreements, with additional experience handling diverse legal matters across corporate functionsExcellent legal and business judgmentProven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and advising executivesStrong project management experience with a proven track record of delivering extraordinary results on timeTechnology industry experience, with SaaS experience, preferredJuris Doctorate (J.D.), current member in good standing of at least one U.S. state barGeneral working knowledge of privacy laws (and related information security requirements) Experience implementing/utilizing contract lifecycle management systems is a plusTo be a proactive, driven, adaptable person who can, with poise and patience, prioritize and balance multiple projects, path-find, and recalibrate advice in view of shifting priorities, legal developments, and risk toleranceBe Human With Us:Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation.The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $202,000 USD - $270,200 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
