Responsibilities: Design and Innovate with AI : Spearhead the design of new, AI-powered experiences, whether it's enhancing member interactions through conversational AI or streamlining internal workflows with intelligent automation. You'll simplify complex systems, making intricate processes intuitive and frictionless. Conduct User Research (e.g., Maze, Rally, Marvin) to quickly test competing concepts, draw insights, and make informed design decisions. Drive Experimentation & Iteration : Lead product experiments and iterations, using data and insights to refine and improve design strategies. You'll explore new ways to support our members and clinical team through digital interactions, leveraging storytelling, motion, generative AI, and interaction design. You're always curious and keep an eye on industry trends, bringing fresh ideas and best practices to the team. Influence and Mentor : Bring clarity and confidence to your team's product direction by delivering exceptional design work and forming strong perspectives on how design drives business outcomes. You'll mentor other designers, providing actionable, timely feedback during critiques, design reviews, and 1:1s that helps improve the quality of work. As a force-multiplier of our team, you will share design best practices (e.g., through playbooks, workshops, or internal talks) that are adopted by others. Qualifications: Experience : 6+ years of experience as a product designer, with at least 2 years working on consumer facing services and/or internal service delivery workflow experiences. Craftsmanship : Strong expertise in interaction design, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality, high-impact experiences. You are a master of your craft, creating extraordinary user experiences that are simple, beautiful, and deeply satisfying, with a focus on user-centered design principles. Complex Problem Solving : Experience simplifying complex services, workflows, or engagement experiences. You thrive in ambiguity and are adept at simplifying complex problems into intuitive solutions. Collaboration : Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing. You confidently challenge assumptions and shape the future vision of your product area, ensuring alignment on user needs and business goals. Strategic Mindset : A strategic mindset, able to connect design decisions to business outcomes and advocate for the right solutions. Your design work is tied to measurable outcomes, and you collaborate with product and data teams to track and optimize impact over time. Adaptability : Comfort balancing quick iterations with long-term vision. You operate with autonomy, confidently setting your own direction and leading with a strong point of view. Communication : Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to synthesize complex ideas into compelling narratives. You convey design decisions, trade-offs, and rationale with clarity and confidence, using strong visual and verbal communication skills to articulate design value. Proactive & Self-Guided : Proactive and self-guided, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives forward. You maximize opportunities, go beyond your project and role when necessary to achieve team goals, and raise problems or risks early to find solutions. Passion for AI & Prototyping : You're passionate and curious about the potential of AI in design and eager to explore its applications. Examples of work in this area are a bonus. Bonus : Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other highly regulated industries where complexity needs to be simplified. Physical / Cognitive requirements: Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location. Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment. No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required. The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are: Zone A: 128,130 - 180,990 + equity + benefits Zone B: 140,943 - 199,089 + equity + benefits Zone C: 153,756 - 217,188 + equity + benefits Zone D: 166,569 - 235,287 + equity + benefits This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone.
