Why Box needs you: The Notifications team is building a scalable and reliable Notifications Platform while maintaining our existing system during the migration. We deliver high volumes of notifications through multiple channels, including email, mobile push (iOS and Android), in-app messaging, Microsoft Teams, and Slack. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about designing and implementing dependable, relevant notification systems. In this role, you will help build the platform that enables other teams at Box to easily create, monitor, and optimize their notifications. What You’ll Do: Attend and engage in weekly stand ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s Work collaboratively with other engineers, team members and across teams  Actively engage in team meetings, building roadmaps, carving technical vision and spreading knowledge across the engineering department Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture Represent Box Poland internally and externally Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise Who You Are: We are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box. 5+ years of professional software development experience Have experience in Java and knowledge of software design principles Assess, communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner  Must speak English proficiently  Experience in test automation Additional points for: Experience working in a product company on customer-facing features You act like an owner and strive to do work you're proud of, both technically and in your team interactions Experience in decomposing monolithic application into microservices Familiarity with node.js and PHP Methodology: Agile management - Scrum Issue tracking tool -Jira Knowledge repository - GitHubEnterprise Code reviews - GitHubEntreprise  Version control system - GIT Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
