MaxMind ( www.maxmind.com ) is looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to join our team. We help protect thousands of companies worldwide from fraud, screening over five billion online transactions each year, and we provide IP geolocation and intelligence data to thousands more. This work requires us to take on exciting challenges and we want you to help! We are hiring anywhere in the following US states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, LA, MA, MN, MT, NC, NJ, NV, NY State (excluding New York City and Yonkers), OR, PA, RI, TX, WA, & WV. There is some flexibility with working hours, but the role will require you to work closely with the legal team located in the Eastern Time zone. This is a full time remote position. MaxMind does not currently sponsor US employment visas. You must be eligible and authorized to work in the US. The Position  As Associate Corporate Counsel, you will spend most of your time working with our business  development, customer success and legal teams to negotiate and revise contracts with enterprise-level customers.   You will also work with other teams within the company on matters relating to data privacy, trademark enforcement, employment law, etc.  Our salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 USD, with the specific offer depending upon skills and experience. About You As a member of MaxMind’s legal team, you're driven by real passion for helping the company navigate contractual arrangements and regulations, often dealing with new and changing areas of law (especially data privacy). Minimum Qualifications 1-2 years experience in corporate or contract law Bar admission Strong communications skills, including explaining complex legal concepts to non-attorneys Highly desired / excited to learn Familiarity with data privacy frameworks and laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD). The second step of our interview process would be a first round interview with our hiring manager and our Corporate Counsel. This interview will cover questions specific to the role. Next, there would be a final interview with our COO and Director of Business Development. That interview would be a more general / behavioral interview. The final step of our hiring process is reference checking.
