Maven is looking for an experienced Manager, Revenue Cycle Management to lead Maven Clinic’s RCM function, reporting directly to the Director, Payment Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end revenue processes, including billing, eligibility, and vendor management, while driving revenue integrity, optimizing workflows, and implementing automation to reduce denials and maximize revenue capture.
You will partner closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to align revenue cycle strategy with business goals and ensure efficiency, compliance, and financial performance. Ultimately, this role will own the financial health of the revenue cycle, identifying trends, improving payer relationships, and building scalable, high-performing operations that support Maven Clinic’s continued growth. This role is ideal for someone with telehealth and fertility care RCM experience, who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by building from the ground up.
As Manager of Revenue Cycle Management at Maven, you will:
Revenue Cycle Strategy & Leadership
Build and execute a proactive RCM strategy that optimizes revenue capture, prevents denials before they happen, and positions Maven Clinic for scalable growth
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of ~6 across billing and eligibility—creating clarity, structure, and momentum through change
Proactively assess risks and gaps in the revenue cycle, and surface areas for automation, standardization, or redesign
Define, track, and act on core KPIs (e.g., A/R aging, denial rates, collection efficiency, clean claim rate) to stay ahead of revenue and operational challenges
Review, analyze and interpret data related to the financial health of the business
Communicate and report to manager and senior leadership on the health of the RCM function
Stay ahead of industry shifts—applying payer trends and policy changes to adjust strategy before issues arise
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner proactively across Finance, Operations, Product, and Data to align RCM with broader business priorities
Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for fertility care billing and reimbursement—bringing a forward-looking lens to system design and policy discussions
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify future needs and shape internal tooling to support a more agile and efficient RCM infrastructure
Billing, Coding & Compliance
Own and optimize the full revenue cycle—including billing, coding, and collections
Lead a proactive claims management strategy: ensure timely, accurate submissions and anticipate potential issues before they impact cash flow
Monitor and apply regulatory and payer policy updates in real time
Partner with Compliance to maintain documentation readiness and a proactive audit posture
Process Improvement & Technology
Identify process bottlenecks early and implement forward-thinking, scalable solutions to drive speed, accuracy, and transparency
Work closely with the Data team to uncover trends, detect shifts in revenue behavior, and support strategic forecasting
Act as a proactive partner to technical teams—translating future RCM needs into product and system requirements
We’re looking for you to bring:
5-7 years of progressive RCM experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing multi-functional teams
Deep understanding of health care billing (preferred: fertility care)
Experience building relationships with payer partners
Experience in startups or high-growth environments
Strong knowledge of CPT coding, payer requirements, and the full claims lifecycle
Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, trends, reconciliation)
Comfortable serving as the RCM SME in cross-functional system conversations
Experience leading change and guiding teams through transition
What Success Looks Like:
Maintaining low denial rates and increase in first-pass claim acceptance
Decreased days in A/R and improved cash flow performance
Improved billing accuracy and compliance with payer requirements
Effective collaboration with internal teams, data analysts, and product managers to optimize reimbursement, streamline workflows, and enhance automation
Communicate and report to manager and senior leadership on the health of the RCM function
Helpful experiences and skills (if you don’t have them, you can learn them with us!):
Experience using Availity, Stedi, Echo, and/or Zelis
Experience with other integration models with payers
