You’ll be responsible for managing all facets of the relationship with named or large key accounts—particularly within the public sector—while ensuring revenue goals are met. This role demands strategic thinking, tactical execution, and a strong understanding of F5’s evolving portfolio, including Distributed Cloud Services, NGINX, and AI-driven security solutions. You will develop opportunities across the F5 solution portfolio, leveraging your experience in public sector procurement cycles and compliance requirements. You’ll partner effectively with Systems Integrators, large Service Providers, and regional VARs to deliver value to government and enterprise customers alike. What Will You Be Responsible For? Serve as the primary point-of-contact for major public sector and enterprise accounts, maintaining executive-level relationships and focusing on strategic growth. Sell F5’s full suite of products and services—including modern app security, multi-cloud networking, and AI-enhanced threat detection—to national named accounts. Identify and qualify long- and short-term business opportunities, with a focus on public sector initiatives and compliance-driven projects. Lead formal proposals and presentations tailored to public sector stakeholders, navigating complex procurement and regulatory environments. Develop and maintain key partner relationships, especially with federal systems integrators and state/local VARs. Stay current on industry trends, government regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST), and emerging technologies relevant to public sector IT modernization. Translate public sector mission needs into technical solutions using F5’s innovative platforms. Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline development using Salesforce. Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative, compliant, and scalable solutions for public sector clients. How do you qualify? Showcase a minimum of 8+ years of direct experience in strategic account management, with a strong track record in public sector sales (federal, state, or local government). Holding BA/BS degree is preferredFamiliarity with public sector procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance frameworks. Experience with networking and cybersecurity products, preferably including F5’s portfolio (BIG-IP, NGINX, Distributed Cloud, etc.). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong negotiation and closing skills, especially in regulated environments. Advanced client interfacing and customer-focused approach. Proven ability to sell complex solutions in a matrixed organization. Deep understanding of public sector IT challenges and digital transformation goals. Ability to travel up to 50% and work from a home office within the territory. #LI-DC1The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
