SailPoint is looking for an Events Manager to join our team. The Events Manager works in SailPoint’s Marketing department to support the elements of SailPoint’s global events strategy and overall event plans, including, but not limited to organizing trade shows, virtual and hybrid large scale events, and SailPoint-led tentpole events. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, experienced in both in-person and virtual event production logistics, managing year-long cycles of planning, and strong collaborator in working within cross-functional teams. This position will oversee the end-to-end management of global events (from contracting to ROI and pipeline impact), including: Responsibilities include: Implement and manage event strategy inclusive of SailPoint-led events, trade shows, hosted events and related programs, that support SailPoint achieving sales, profitability, and market share goals. Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor negotiation, logistics, sponsorships, and on-site coordination. Establish and expand the company brand through large industry tradeshows and events. Manage project and budget for events and sponsorships including tactical plans, ongoing status reviews and post-event assessment with key stakeholders. Provide "single-point accountability" at the event – managing, coordinating, and collaborating with outside vendors, general contractors, and SailPoint team members to ensure event execution delivers within set budget, timeline, and stated goals. Analyze effectiveness of each key event component for implementing changes and recommended improvements as needed. Collaborate effectively with functional teams to ensure cohesion and alignment on objectives, messaging, and branding. Requirements 4+ years experience in end-to-end event strategy, planning, management and execution. Exceptional project and program management and organizational skills coupled with strong and holistic attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to maintain a view of the overall business situation when making decisions and setting policies. Ability to coordinate and organize several activities with multiple components requiring independent follow through and attention to detail. Outstanding budget planning, forecasting, development and management skills. Very strong communication (oral, written, and presentation) and collaboration skills, with the ability to establish, manage and track clear roles and responsibilities across teams and functions. Very strong post-event capabilities to summarize, track results, and consolidate and present feedback and lessons-learned. Strong creative and innovation skills with relevant proven ability to connect-the-dots and bring out-of-the-box thinking and ideas. Experience in crisis management and problem-solving related to global events. Proficiency with event management tools, registration platforms such as Cvent, CRM systems, and other event technology to streamline processes and improve attendee experiences. Travel Ability to travel up to 30% on a global basis. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
