Echodyne is seeking a Contract Quality System Specialist with experience in Quality System performance to join its team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment developing next generation RADAR systems.  The Quality System Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure effective and efficient quality processes in specific areas.  These areas are detailed in the following sections Estimated Contract Length: 9 months RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the primary owner for Nonconformance Report records (NCRs): monitor, investigate, document, and drive timely closure Ability to drive cross-function teams to complete the investigation of NCRs Maintain appropriate QMS records as to follow Quality System requirements Ensures proper material identification, segregation, and storage of inventory material Works closely with members of Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, and Quality to ensure good communication and coordination of activities Assist with maintaining acceptable levels of nonconforming material in Material Review Board (MRB) and drive the disposition of this material Identify systemic issues and trends from NCRs and work with QEs to document and correct in Correction and Preventive Actions (CAPA) records Active participant in continuous Improvement and Lean projects Performs other related duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Experience working within a Quality Management System environment Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups Ability to work with minor guidance and under pressure Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver innovative, effective and timely solutions Good communication skills, both written and oral Able to collect, analyze and report data Self-Driven and able to work with limited supervision DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE  (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)   Proficiency with the Corrective and Preventive Action Process and Nonconformance Reporting records Proactive, professional, self-starter and able to work well in teams of various cultures and backgrounds ASQ Certified Quality Technician IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified Lean Manufacturing: Kaizen and efficient problem-solving experience QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education a plus 3+ years’ experience in a mechanical/electrical inspection or directly relevant experience Hands-on experience with NCR lifecycle management A minimum of 2 years of recent prior experience in a high-tech environment Working knowledge of MSD Office; Word and Excel Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.  WHAT WE OFFER The pay range for this position is $27.98 - $42.11 per hour.
