The ideal candidate will be responsible developing, managing, and implementing strategic marketing plans aligned to sub-regional business plans. This includes marketing strategies and go-to-market tactics for Illumina’s on-market product portfolio, and new product introductions, to reach target customer segment. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare, commercial and research customer types, as well as understanding of branding, content creation and deployment, digital marketing, and the unique needs of marketing in France. The position provides Marketing expertise, thought partnership, and support to the sub-regional commercial team and Channel Partners to facilitate and enable Marketing programs to achieve the sub-regional revenue goals. The role will be responsible for leveraging sub-regional market insights, product portfolio knowledge, and competitive intelligence to develop detailed Marketing plans targeting customer segments to drive demand and pipeline health. This will involve coordinating tactical flight plan execution using shared Programs, Events, Tradeshows and Digital resources within the Regional Field Marketing Team. Develop go-to-market strategies and drive execution of those strategies with clear milestones and action plans. Ensure marketing plans are relevant to the specific market and customers while aligning to Illumina’s strategies, product positioning, and branding. Develop a Marketing tactics flight plan together with Regional Field Marketing Programs, Events, Tradeshows, and Digital shared resource teams. Ensure that there is alignment of activities and product/segment strategies internally, as well as clear metrics associated with delivery and effectiveness of these activities. Balance OpEx for plans with revenue commitments across Sub-region and Region together with Head of Regional Field Marketing for deployment. Assess customer pipeline Marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) in sub-region by stage. Aligned to regional business plan (RBP) targets (revenue, product mix, customers, new product introduction business case), and reverse waterfall KPIs for pipeline health and coverage (# new customers, #marketing qualified leads, Opportunities, etc.) Build target customer engagement plan in sub-region for current customer and new customers together with GM, Sales, Sales Specialists, Strategic Growth, and Global teams. Report on Customer pipeline health KPIs regularly with GMs, Sales, Sales Specialists, Strategic Growth team. Adjust Customer engagement plan to meet targets for the sub-regional business plan. Coordinate with Regional and Global teams to monitor customer pipeline KPIs and adjust plans to maximize pipeline health and return on marketing investments. Performance tracking & reporting: work with campaign manager and ComOps partners to analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement Track leads generated from marketing activities Report and analyze program performance and sales pipeline to ensure ROI for investments and efforts Evaluate the performance of omni-channel marketing programs and recommend improvements Ensure the return on investment of marketing activities is in line with European targets Review targets and dashboards to measure efficiencies of your marketing activities; report on these metrics regularly and adjust tactics to improve performance. Collaborate within a complex, matrixed organizational structure to serve as the sub-regional marketing point of contact across numerous functions, including Global Product and Customer Segment Marketing. Market research & analysis: engage with product marketing, TAMs and market analyst to conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and customer insights that drive regional strategies and tactics. Budget management: develop and manage the customer segment marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related subject area; M.BA is preferred. Extensive experience of marketing/healthcare marketing experience; deep understanding on multiomics is a plus Experience in a marketing role, responsible for product or portfolio marketing, go-to-market strategy & execution. Proficiency in 4Ps and marketing mix, media outreach, content strategy/marketing, VOC/VOS, segmentation, multi-channel lead generation, value proposition, demand/lead generation strategies, and marketing program development and execution. Ability to prioritize and influence without authority in a large organization within a highly matrixed environment. Collaborative approach to developing and sharing strategy, tactics, and analytics. Demonstrates creativity, problem-solving ability, strong analytical and execution skills. Plan, monitor, and manage budgets, schedules, and performance requirements for the assigned business unit(s) and project(s).
