If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Responsible for design and development of software embedded in high speed data communication devices.  This senior engineer will add new capabilities to satisfy industry standards and customer requirements.  The individual must diagnose and resolve product problems and adapt existing software applications for new hardware and software environments.  Should be capable of formulating an approach to testing a product’s features.  The engineer will work in a tightly-knit team environment, but they must be capable of functioning effectively without detailed guidance.  The engineer should be very familiar with integrating their work into a software project with multiple contributors. The individual should be able to adapt well to changes in projects and requirements. The engineer will interface directly with customers and so must present a patient and helpful image, have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task and possess excellent debug skills .The candidate should have a positive outlook on their work, an innovative approach to challenges, and will demonstrate initiative in pursuing the goals of the position and more.JOB REQUIREMENTS:BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, M.S preferred8+ years of software engineering experienceExtensive C, C++ programming skillsExperience working on firmware and device drivers, working closely with hardware and silicon engineers, troubleshooting low level issues.Knowledge/experience with software development processesFamiliarity with programming and troubleshooting in an embedded, constrained systemPREFERRED:Experience with ARM and/or MIPS development and architectureKnowledge/experience with DOCSIS, CableModems, GatewaysAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
