The Solution Consultant (Governance, Risk & Compliance) is a Pre-Sales role, responsible for listening to prospects’ challenges and gathering their requirements in order to offer specific technical subject matter expertise, supporting the functional aspects of Workiva's platform and solutions via presentations and value-based product demonstrations of the Workiva platform.The Solutions Consultant role is focused on supporting our Sales Team across large organizations in the DACH market. As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will engage with prospects to identify their needs, prepare and lead demos, and showcase how our solutions meet their requirements. Leveraging your industry expertise around GRC, you will act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process. This role offers the opportunity to expand your skills and work alongside top SaaS professionals, with continuous learning and growth opportunities. There is also potential for international travel for strategic deals and office visits.What You Will DoInteract with prospects to determine their software needs and become a trusted advisor by demonstrating how the Workiva solutions meet those business needsGain a deep understanding of our products and excel in articulating its benefits to prospects. Use storytelling to connect its features to their business needs, and provide prompt, accurate responses to their technology-related inquiriesPrepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to prospective customers or at events e.g. webinars, conferences, etcActively contribute to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, by offering creative solutions and responsiveness, thereby enhancing value for both your sales team and assigned prospectsCollect feedback from the field and provides it to Product Marketing and Product Development for further improvements of the current solutionsStrong knowledge of Workiva products and regulations through a commitment to ongoing trainingWhat You’ll NeedMinimum QualificationsUndergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field4+ years of experience in technology consulting and/or in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), including GRC software sales or pre-salesFluency in English and GermanPreferred QualificationsComprehensive understanding of the internal processes of a company’s finance function across financial reporting, internal audit and wider GRC space.Experience selling or consulting around Governance, Risk, and ComplianceAbility to assess business needs and deliver a value-based, compelling software demonstrationExperience in process improvement consultingExperience with business intelligence technologies, databases or data management platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday)Creative, entrepreneurial mindsetProven problem-solving skills and business acumenDetermined, roll up your sleeves attitudeExcellent client-facing presentation skillsProven project and time management skillsAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, successfully multi-tasking and determining priorities to meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsExcellent MS Excel and presentation skillsTravel Requirement and Working ConditionsUp to 20% travel for customer and internal meetingsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva officeWorkiva is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
