The Role
Our team is looking for someone to lead our marketing operations function. As the Marketing Operations Manager - Email Developer, you will partner closely with the marketing and product growth organization to design and execute impactful campaigns, streamline processes, and drive operational initiatives forward.
The ideal candidate is someone excited by marketing technology, focused on driving efficiency through automation, and who’s laser-focused on what’s going to drive results. We’re looking for someone to go beyond simple execution, and have a huge impact.
Success in the position requires expert problem-solving & experimentation skills, an eye for detail, growth hacker mentality, and a passion for personalized marketing.You will also have had extensive hands on technical experience building marketing campaigns, ideally with a marketing automation software like Braze.
Your Responsibilities
Template Coding: Codes dynamic, personalized messages across email, push, and SMS using HTML, CSS, and Liquid; leverages modular code and API-sourced data to drive scalable and flexible builds
Advanced Braze expertise: Comfortable building, QAing, and optimizing multi-channel journeys (email, SMS, push) using Braze features like Canvases, API triggers, segment filters, Liquid logic, content blocks, and personalization
Deep knowledge of Liquid and personalization logic: Skilled in writing complex Liquid conditions, loops, and filters; experienced in parsing and rendering dynamic content from JSON objects
API integration and testing: Experience configuring and troubleshooting API endpoints, using tools like Postman, and collaborating with engineering to resolve data pipeline issues
CRM troubleshooting and monitoring: Proactively identifies and addresses issues such as SMS delivery errors, broken links, or UTM mismatches using tools like Google Postmaster Tools, Braze logs, and AppsFlyer
Audience segmentation and targeting: Capable of creating precise audience definitions based on behavioral, demographic, and custom criteria; often collaborating with data teams and using Looker or SQL
Cross-functional collaboration: Works closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Creative, and Marketing teams to align on messaging, track requirements, and improve systems
Operational process improvement: Identifies workflow inefficiencies and implements scalable systems for testing, documentation, link libraries, and reporting standardization
Project management proficiency: Manages end-to-end project timelines, prioritization, ticket writing, and sprint planning using tools like Shortcut
Platform monitoring and issue detection: Proactively monitors Braze status updates, deliverability tools (like Google Postmaster Tools), and platform alerts to identify risks or issues that may impact CRM performance
Feature adoption and trend awareness: Keeps up with new Braze features and industry trends to surface opportunities for efficiency, automation, and improved user experience
Skillset
4+ years experience developing email campaigns with HTML/CSS
4+ years of experience with Liquid (or similar templating Language).
Technical experience with Braze (or similar marketing automation platform).
Strong process to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements
Working knowledge with SQL

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 yearly, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule. Unfortunately, we are not able to support any visa sponsorship or transfer at this time.
