Job Requisition ID #25WD90144Position OverviewThe Business Development Representative (BDR) is an integral part of Autodesk's sales team, tasked with driving the initial stages of the sales funnel. This hunting-focused position engages prospective customers through outbound prospecting across multiple channels (leveraging a call-first mentality) engaging new leads, educating prospects, scheduling meetings for Sales Representatives, and qualifying net new opportunities. The BDR delivers a robust pipeline, supporting Autodesk’s growth by transforming prospects into opportunities through proactive outreach and strategic communication.Location - This position is hybrid with some work from home opportunities. The preferred location for this position is Denver, Colorado. ResponsibilitiesDrive New Engagement through Outbound Prospecting: identify new leads and contacts, and execute outbound outreach across multiple channels (phone, email, and LinkedIn) to drive quality net new engagements (customer meetings)Qualify Opportunities: Assess the needs and pain points of prospects to gauge their level of interest and need for Autodesk solutions. Use this information to uncover and qualify new business opportunities that can be passed to Sales RepresentativesEducate Prospects: Provide clear and concise details on Autodesk’s product features and value proposition, guiding prospects through the initial sales process and preparing them for further engagementBuild and Maintain Pipeline: Proactively develop and sustain a pipeline of leads and opportunities, ensuring consistent follow-up and nurturing practices to maintain engagement and interestAchieve Outreach Targets: Consistently meet or exceed outreach goals, including the number of calls, emails, meetings booked, and opportunities created contributing to the team’s sales objectivesRecord Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and accurate notes and records of all prospect interactions in the CRM to ensure data integrity, proper tracking of leads, and facilitates informed strategic decisionsTeam Collaboration: Participate actively in team meetings, offer insights, and collaborate with colleagues to refine and enhance outbound sales strategiesMinimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a prospecting-focused business development or sales role, ideally in IT/SaaSDemonstrated ability to exceed activity-based KPIs and sales goalsExperience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plusExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailA positive, solution-oriented mindsetAs a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective waysWorks on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiativeUnderstands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutionsDetermines methods and procedures on new assignments. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $79,800 and $115,390. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range.
