Role Overview
GOAT is seeking a fashion enthusiast looking to combine their passion with a full-time career, and obtain an entry-level position in the startup world. The ideal candidate possesses a solid knowledge of not only sneakers/apparel but of the consignment industry for brands such as Nike, Jordan, Adidas, New Balance, FOG Essentials, Supreme, BAPE, Denim Tears etc. As a Junior Authentication Specialist, you must have the ability to verify authenticity of sneakers/apparel across the major brands. In addition, a Junior Authentication Specialist must keep up with industry trends, releases, and collaborations with the world's best retailers, from streetwear to high fashion. You will not only figure out the authenticity of sneakers/apparel, but spot manufacturer defects, assess wear, and inspect SKU and size, ensuring that each buyer has the retail experience they've come to expect.
In this role, you will:
Support continuous improvement-related activities, including identification of areas in need of improvement through data analysis, check-point changes, new processes design and content, and implementation of training or changes in strategy
Support root cause analysis and corrective action on authentication challenges
Support in the authentication hiring process, as needed
Identify and resolve problems and redundancies relating to the authentication process
Collaborate with the Auth Performance team to identify potential areas of improvement
Collaborate with Training Content & Launch and Regional Training Teams to implement new interventions, track the effectiveness of interventions, and determine appropriate duration and end dates as needed.
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and team members
Support efforts in product research and draft research summaries for the Content Team via case studies
Contribute to the travel process by providing accurate pricing+insight in travel
Participate in both training plans and training sessions in-person and remote
Support authentication during high-volume periods and while not training. Support daily fulfillment and operational processes as needed. This includes:
Authenticate new release products in content case-studies and directly in flow
Provide secondary authentication confirmations on high risk and high value products, fakes and fake returns, both remotely and on-site

We are looking for:
Honest and Authentic
2+ years experience of relevant experience in authentication
On-site role. Up to 50% travel required
Strong knowledge of the secondary market
Excellent critical thinking and decision making
Organizational and time management skills
Detailed oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong written and oral communication
Knowledge of current authentication and operations landscape and ability to adapt to changes
Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision making
Experience creating training materials is a plus
