Job Requisition ID #25WD90333Position OverviewAutodesk has an exciting opportunity for a results-driven U.S. Federal and State Tax Manager to play a meaningful role on our global tax team. The U.S. Tax Manager will report to the U.S. Tax Director and work with internal partners and external advisors to manage the tax aspects of the tax reporting and compliance cycle to maximize tax efficiency and accuracy. If you have a passion for U.S. tax and enjoy the technical challenges of contributing to a thriving in-house tax team, this is the perfect opportunity for you!ResponsibilitiesReview and prepare various aspects of the quarterly and annual tax provision, with an emphasis on state-by-state provision reporting, including calculating book-to-tax adjustments and return-to-provision adjustmentsManage the state income tax return process in collaboration with the India based compliance team, including reviewing/preparing supporting tax calculations and gathering relevant dataLead the team in timely research, communication and resolution of state income tax audits and noticesEnsure timely completion of US state tax extensions, filings and estimated tax paymentsProvide advice, direction and support to resolve technical tax/accounting issues, including providing advice and establishing UTP reserves when necessaryResponsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments and analyze/interpret changes to federal and state tax laws and their impact to the tax return and/or financial statementsPrepare tax account reconciliationsProactively identify and implement process improvements and automation that promote efficiency and accuracyAssist in maintaining processes and procedures to meet internal control requirementsCommunicate and develop relationships with business unit finance personnel as well as outside consultants and financial statement auditorsLead and mentor tax team members(s), including providing guidance and support to ensure ongoing developmentBe able to challenge the status quo and build processes and implement improvementsMinimum Qualifications10+ years of U.S. federal and state tax compliance experience in a global structureBS/BA in accounting or financeCertified Public AccountantExperience in Public Big 4 Accounting Firm and Tech IndustryStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, S4Hana/SAP, Alteryx, OneSource Provision, OneSource Income Tax and Longview/Khalix software a plusEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to pivot and learnLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $101,600 and $164,340. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
