We are looking for a Senior Backend Compiler Engineer with experience in LLVM to develop compilers for our world leading GPUs. We craft outstanding compilers that realize the potential of NVIDIA GPU hardware for a growing range of computational workloads, ranging from next-generation graphics and deep learning to scientific computing and self-driving cars. Our compiler organization makes its mark on every GPU and SoC product that NVIDIA builds. Would you like to be part of this best-in-class organization and lead the charge?What you'll be doing:Part of NVIDIA re-targetable GPU compiler backend team to design, optimize, and maintain robust, high-performance compilers and toolsWork with global compiler, hardware, driver and application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutionsSolve unique problems seen only in compiling for massively parallel GPU architectureGet a chance to influence and work on new GPU architecturesWhat we need to see:B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent5+ years of experience in compiler development or toolchain engineeringHands on experience in compiler infrastructures like LLVM/GCCIn-depth knowledge of debugging information formats such as DWARFDeep understanding of linker and loader internalsExcellent C and C++ programming skillsExperience collaborating with global, distributed teamSelf-driven with strong problem-solving and communication skillsWays for you to stand out from the crowd:Masters or PhD preferred, with 8+ years of relevant experienceProven background in program analysis and advanced optimizationsGood understanding of modern processor and computer architectureDemonstrated ability to pursue complex optimization problemsExperience in developing CUDA, DirectX, OpenGL/Vulkan applicationsNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
