About The Team
This role sits within our small but growing Tax function, part of a public company finance team, and reports directly to the Senior Tax Analyst. We are looking to bring our tax compliance in-house, starting with U.S. indirect tax. We’re building scalable processes that support both day-to-day accuracy and long-term growth for a dual-listed company. Our team is hands-on, systems-savvy, and always looking for ways to improve how we work. While we're remote-first, we stay closely connected through regular check-ins and quarterly in-person offsites. This is a great time to join early and help shape how tax gets done here.
About the Job
We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Tax Analyst with a strong foundation in tax and accounting with an interest in building hands-on experience across both indirect and direct tax. This role will support key aspects of U.S. sales and use tax compliance such as filings, reconciliations, and notices while also contributing to corporate income and international tax workstreams. You’ll work closely with team members across accounting, and finance, and play a meaningful role as we scale our in-house tax capabilities.
The US-based salary range for this position is $72,000 to $100,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You’ll Do
Oversee the preparation and filing of monthly U.S. sales and use tax returns using Avalara Returns, including data review, exception handling, and reconciliation procedures
Monitor and research sales tax notices including escalating issues as needed and tracking resolutions to completion
Prepare monthly reconciliation both indirect and direct tax accounts in coordination with Accounting
Assist with quarterly and annual corporate income tax provision calculations and related SOX controls
Assist with indirect tax audit responses and taxability and nexus research as when required
Partner cross-functionally with Accounting and Finance teams
Support international indirect tax and compliance efforts
Assist in implementing process improvements and special projects, with support and guidance from the tax lead
What We’re Looking For
1–2 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting, or a related field
Strong understanding of core accounting concepts and an interest in developing tax-specific expertise
Proven ability to manage recurring compliance tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic data transformation
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working across teams
A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and areas of tax
Experience with Avalara Returns, NetSuite, Workiva, or similar financial systems
Exposure to U.S. sales/use tax filings, notice resolution, or indirect tax audits
Familiarity with corporate income tax provision concepts or PBC coordination
Demonstrated interest in process improvement or system implementation initiatives

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
