Equinix enables organizations to access all the right places, partners and possibilities to scale with agility, speed the launch of digital services, deliver world-class experiences and multiply their value, while supporting their sustainability goals.  A career at Equinix means you will collaborate on work that impacts the world and be surrounded by endless opportunities to learn new skills and grow in varied directions. We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success. Job SummaryThis position will be a member of the Asia Finance and Corporate Tax and will report to the Manager, Tax.    ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of Philippine tax obligations, including but not limited to: Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value-Added Tax (VAT), Expanded and Final Withholding Taxes, Documentary Stamp Tax (DST), and Local Business TaxesLiaise with regional finance teams and local tax advisors to resolve various issues arisen in the tax returns preparationManage responses to BIR inquiries, tax audits, and tax assessmentsPrepare tax-related journal entries for posting by the General Ledger (GL) team and reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts to resolve any variances Prepare the quarterly and annual tax provisioning process, including completion of tax packages, preparation of tax provision to return true-up, scrutiny of tax payables with preparation of roll-forward schedules and review of quarterly financial forecastsSupport the preparation of local statutory reports by determining tax provisions, tax-related balance sheet accounts, and preparing tax related disclosure notesSupport various tax projects in the region, assist their implementation, including system testing  QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy or finance with sufficient tax related courses takenMinimum 4 years of progressive tax experience in big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate tax function of an MNC with exposures to US and Philippines tax compliance and reporting. Tax accounting (current and deferred) knowledge is preferredA detail oriented, hands-on and analytical tax professional with strong communication and writing skillsConfident, self-starter with ability to work with minimal direction and supervisionProactively assumes ownership and accountability when completing various projectsA team-work oriented person with good interpersonal skillsQuick learner and action taker, ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressures and tight deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and tax compliance tools is a plusEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
