SummaryAs a Senior Lead Business Systems Analyst specializing in Finance Systems at Workiva, you will act as a strategic partner and technical expert, driving transformation across our Finance technology landscape. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering solutions for core financial systems, including ERP, sourcing & procurement, close management, and expense automation, in a high-growth, SaaS environment. You will engage directly with Accounting, Sourcing & Procurement, Compliance, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the technology roadmap, deliver impactful business outcomes, and elevate how technology enables the business. What You’ll DoStrategic PartnershipServe as a trusted advisor to Finance, Accounting, and Business Technology leadershipLead the analysis and design of complex business processes and technology solutionsFinance Systems Roadmap Define, prioritize, and execute the roadmap for Finance Systems Ensure alignment with business goals and prioritiesSolution Architecture & DeliveryArchitect, design, and deliver scalable solutions across core business systems—including ERP (Sage Intacct, Oracle, or Workday), Coupa, BlackLine, Concur, and WorkivaBalance strategic design with hands-on build and advanced configurationProcess Optimization Reimagine, refine, and automate key Finance workflows (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report). Drive measurable efficiency, control, and user experience improvementsSOX & ComplianceEnsure technology solutions support and enable compliance with SOX, ITGC, and audit requirementsSupport controls implementation, documentation, and audit activitiesProblem SolvingIdentify high-value business challengesArchitect innovative, scalable solutions for enterprise-level needsAnalytics EnablementCollaborate with stakeholders to support analytics and reporting requirementsEnsure data integrity and empower business insightsProject LeadershipLead the end-to-end delivery of complex system enhancements and projectsManage requirements, solution design, build, testing, deployment, and change managementMentorship, Influence, & EnablementShare expertise and coach peersSet a high bar for analysis, solution quality, and teamworkInfluence and inspire others, fostering a culture of proactive value creationHelp partners understand and maximize system capabilitiesDrive Innovation & Continuous ImprovementStay updated on finance technology trendsRecommend and pilot innovative solutions for continuous growthWhat You’ll NeedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field8+ years of experience in Finance Systems, Business Systems Analysis, or similar roles supporting Finance/Accounting in a SaaS or enterprise environmentPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing at least one major ERP platform (Sage Intacct, Oracle, Workday, or SAP)Hands-on expertise with at least two adjacent Finance applications (Coupa, BlackLine, Concur, Salesforce)Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, business-critical solutions across Finance domainsExperience in a high-growth SaaS or public company environmentProcess improvement, automation, or data analytics experience within Finance & AccountingStrong understanding of SOX and ITGC controls, with direct experience supporting compliance and audit activitiesExperience working in or alongside Agile teams, managing requirements and projects in a dynamic environmentERP implementation consulting experience Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)Exceptional communication, analysis, and documentation skills Travel Requirements and Working Conditions10% Travel for customer and internal meetingsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva officeHow You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $133,000.00 - $214,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
