This position is an exciting opportunity to define and shape the technical quality assurance standards, strategies, and procedures for the Fusion product.ResponsibilitiesManage a globally distributed Quality Assurance TeamDevelop staff capabilities by recruiting resources, defining development areas, providing ongoing feedback, training, and development to foster professional and technical competenciesOptimize team efficiency by aligning projects with appropriate resourcesFoster capability-driven assignment and collaboration to leverage execution synergies across projects and productsDirect staff in the implementation of test plans and participate in various elements of product and capability test activitiesTrack test strategy milestones, test coverage and defect trends to ensure projects are on scheduleCommunicate quality metrics and trends, highlight issues having potential for production delays to facilitate informed and data-driven decisions on project schedules on an ongoing basisCollaborate and engage with product management, engineering and XD to ensure project schedules do not compromise quality assurance standards and customer expectations. Scope, estimate and schedule various tasks including test plan creation and execution, interoperability testing, hardware certification, creating and executing automated tests, install, licensing, and simulation testingEvaluate feasibility of outsourced versus in-house testing for various activities and based on the required level of technical versus domain expertiseSelect vendors and manage vendor relationship, foster effective communication with quality assurance teamMaintain an ongoing awareness of developments in quality assurance programs, practices, technologies in the industryCollaborate with fellow SQA managers to research and evaluate alternative methodologies, practices, and tools to improve quality assurance standards of company products and servicesManagers of Professional roles – and/or managers of people that manage Support rolesManages work for medium size team, or multiple small teams and achieves results by directing work through supervisors/team leads and professional employeesTypically focused on areas of subject matter expertise within one disciplineKeep their teams organized, efficient, effective, productive, and motivated through professional leadership techniquesResponsible for managing deliverables against expected results with a timeline that is typically longer than a quarterFocus is more operational, and decisions are typically made within established policies, procedures and objectivesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent Proven track record (5+ years) of managing and directing professional staff responsible for delivering high-quality software10+ years of experience in testing applications on heterogeneous (desktop, client-server, web applications) platforms and operation systems (Windows, Linux)Strong understanding of Quality Assurance disciplines, designing tests based on user stories, and testing methodologies including the authoring of functional test plans, regression testing, and performance / load testing scriptsStrong understanding of testing automation practices, working with automation frameworks that scale, using tools like Cypress, Playwright, or similarExceptional team player with very good moderation, consulting and influencing skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience working on a scrum team developing desktop products and/or cloud services; understand software and/or services architecture, development, and testing; understand Agile and Scaled AgilePreferred QualificationsExperience in hiring, building an inclusive team-based culture that strives towards best practices, measurable outcomesExperience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity)Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other equivalent public cloudsKnowledge of Autodesk Fusion, or other PLM software Familiarity with CAD design and visualization is a plusLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
