This role requires a ‘can do’ attitude and autonomous mindset with motivation to put their own stamp on the processes and grow with it as the hyperscale strategy grows.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Accountant uses professional expertise while resolving a variety of accounting matters. Performs monthly accounting close activities.AccountabilitiesWork with upstream data owners and cross-functional teams to support accounting activitiesPartner with business and all stakeholders in making sure all transactions are recorded timely and accuratelyPrepare related party transactionsPrepare and reconcile loan amortization scheduleReview month end reconciliations and audit schedules for specific GL accounts; work with functional teams in ensuring all reports are prepared timely and accurately upon month end closeManage the timely processing of bank transactions, accruals, intercompany transactions and other accounting entries with the teamMonth-end accounting activities for a JV or set of JV’sPrepares and posts journal entriesPerforms flux analysis as well as ad hoc deliverablesPerform monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reviewsAct as the primary point of contact during statutory audits and prepare audit files for both internal and external auditors.Executes SOX controlsPrepares PBC (Provided/prepared by Client)Work closely with Tax, Legal, and Treasury departmentsContinuously drive for improvement in quality and efficiency in new processes and systems to enhance the workflow of the teamWork with an entrepreneurial team spirit  Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting mattersQualificationsMSc or BSc in Finance5+ years’ experience working in Accounting/Financial control roleExperience with both IFRS and US GAAP is idealStrong communication skills – both in person and remotelyTeam player with entrepreneurial mindsetExperience in Oracle, Hyperion, Excel-preferredEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
