About the Role:   We are seeking a working student to join our Data Team. The ideal candidate is curious, passionate, data-driven, and believes in Planet’s mission and values. You will gain first-hand experience in geospatial and enterprise data modeling and analysis. You’ll build data products and solutions such as dashboards, self-service tooling, and data pipelines for consumers across Planet, leveraging tools including git, dbt, python, SQL and Omni. What you deliver will be used to improve satellite collection performance, user experience research, business strategy, and overall customer satisfaction. This is a part-time, in-office position based in our Berlin Office up to 20 hours per week. Impact You’ll Own: Build self-service data tooling and metrics dashboards Build data models to transform business problems into actionable metrics Database querying to resolve product, business or operational problems Perform and document data analysis to improve Planet operations What You Bring: Currently enrolled in a full-time program at a university studying software or data analysis/engineering-related courses Sound SQL and python skills, familiar with git / version control Experience with data visualization Proven reliability and accuracy in analytics work Comfort working in a dynamic environment Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects Willingness to learn and collaborate across teams Fluent in written and spoken English What Makes You Stand Out: Experience working with dbt and Looker, Omni or other self-service data tooling Experience building and debugging CI/CD pipelines Application Deadline: September 24, 2025 by 23:59 Pacific Daylight Time (11:59 PM PDT) Benefits While Working at Planet: These offerings are dependent on employment type and geographical location, based upon applicable law or company policy.
