Position OverviewAutodesk is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Principal Engineer with deep SAP S/4HANA expertise to join our Growth Engineering Technology team. This role is pivotal in shaping enterprise-level strategies and driving digital transformation initiatives using SAP’s latest technologies.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and lead the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and other systems solutions across S2P and P2P domains, ensuring process optimization and business alignmentPartner with business stakeholders, procurement, and finance teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-performing technical solutionsDesign and implement enhancements, interfaces, and extensions using SAP S/4HANA best practices, ensuring minimal customization and maximum valueLead end-to-end solution delivery including system configuration, integration, data migration, and user acceptance testingDrive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and performance optimizationProvide guidance and mentorship to development and support teams, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and governance frameworksCollaborate with SAP COE, security, infrastructure, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless deployment and supportStay abreast of new SAP technologies and product roadmaps to inform strategic decisions and innovation opportunitiesMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field10+ years of experience in SAP ERP systems with 5+ years in SAP S/4HANA, specifically in the S2P and P2P areasDeep knowledge of SAP MM, Ariba, and integration with SAP FI, AP, and supplier collaboration toolsExperience with SAP Fiori, CDS Views, ABAP enhancements, and APIs (OData/REST)Strong understanding of procurement processes including requisitioning, sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, invoicing, and paymentProven experience in large-scale SAP transformation projects, including greenfield or brownfield S/4HANA implementationsExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with Agile/Scrum methodology and DevOps practices is a plusPreferred Qualifications SAP Ariba and SAP Business Network experienceKnowledge of SAP Central Procurement, SRM migration, or Guided BuyingFamiliarity with tools like SAP Fieldglass, Open Text VIM, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), and Integration SuiteExposure to industry standards such as ISO 8000, SOX compliance, and supplier risk management frameworksThe Ideal CandidateYou understand what it takes to build and support highly scalable and reliable platformsYou know how to motivate and inspire your teams to be as effective as possibleYou can spot and attract amazing talentYou have a passion for being a mentor and a teacherYou are a leader with visionYou have a sense of humor and don’t take yourself too seriouslyYou take risks and can make quick decisionsYou can maneuver sometimes vague requirementsYou have a passion for continuous deliveryYou understand your job is to sometimes stay out of the wayAnd last, but not least, you know how to execute and have demonstrated the ability to incrementally deliver on your team’s visionLead the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end solutions within the Source-to-Purchase (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process areasPossess a deep understanding of S/4HANA, MM, Ariba, and integration points with finance and supply chain modulesLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $141,400 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
