For example: through our platform, women across the U.S. are now receiving comprehensive breast imaging, results, and specialist-driven next steps at their local Primary Care office, condensing a multi-month diagnostic journey into 60 minutes. Imagen is partnering with Optum in Surprise, AZ to bring our powerful diagnostic platform to their primary care patients.
With over $160m in funding from Google Ventures and some of the largest clinical networks in the country, we are rapidly expanding this platform across the U.S. - from 7 states and 50,000 patients in 2022, to 16 states and 500,000 patients in 2023. By 2026, we will be delivering care across 35 states and to more than 5m patients per year.
Imagen is looking for a full-time General + Cardiac CT Technologist to build Imagen’s program with a forward-thinking, primary care clinic in Surprise, AZ. As an Imagen CT Technologist, you will have the opportunity to influence all elements of the CT program – from performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans to helping our management team establish protocols and workflows. Our ideal candidate has expertise in general and cardiac imaging, knowledge operating advanced CT equipment, and can ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being. Imagen has established similar programs to support other modalities such as x-ray, mammography, and ultrasound across Arizona and is now expanding our services into CT to offer more accessible and comprehensive diagnostics to our clients and their patients.
Position Details :
Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours
No night or weekend coverage and no on-call requirements!
Primary care facility setting. Please note, this is NOT a mobile position

As a CT Technologist, you will:
Operate advanced CT scanners to capture detailed images of various body parts such as head, chest/abdomen, extremities, heart, and related vascular structures, including CT coronary angiography (CTA) and cardiac CT.
Reviewing patient charts and completing phone calls as needed. Prepare patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, ensuring understanding, and addressing concerns. Starting an IV and administering contrast agents when required and ensuring proper positioning for accurate imaging.
Continuously monitor patients before, during, and after the scan, particularly for those with heart conditions. Coordinate with the healthcare team to manage heart rate and ensure optimal image quality during cardiac imaging procedures.
Work closely with cardiologists, radiologists, nurses, lead technologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate diagnostic interpretation of CT images.
Accurately document patient information, scan parameters, and contrast usage in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Report any unusual findings or complications during the procedure to the appropriate medical staff.
Perform basic maintenance and quality control checks on CT equipment, ensuring that it is functioning properly and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and accreditation requirements. Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality policies. Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Follow emergency response practices as necessary.
Detail-oriented with the ability to adjust imaging protocols to minimize barriers to high-quality imaging.

You should get in touch if you:
Currently hold an ARRT certification in radiography and computed tomography OR currently hold an ARRT certification in radiography with completion of CT certification within 12 months of hire.
Currently hold an Arizona state X-ray license and CT license
Currently hold an active BLS certification (or willing to become certified)
Have 2 or more years of documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection
Have 2 or more years performing cardiac CT and general CT imaging
Are able to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients or equipment as needed
Are able to react quickly and decisively in potentially urgent or emergent imaging situations
