Job Requisition ID #25WD86998Senior Machine Learning Engineer (3D Graphics) Position OverviewAs a Machine Learning Engineer in a growing generative AI-focused team at Autodesk, you will play a leading role in the translation of applied research into new capabilities that will help our customers imagine, design, and make a better world.You are a talented, motivated, and experienced Software Engineer with a strong track record in Generative AI for Computer Vision and/or Computer Graphics, passionate about solving problems and building things. You are excited to collaborate with research, product, and production teams to perform experiments and implement state-of-the-art generative AI algorithms into products at scale. You are comfortable serving as a translator and straddling the gap between research & development.While the location of this role is flexible, we prefer to have our engineers close to the teams in Berlin, Germany. Our Berlin office offers a dynamic and innovative working environment, providing an attractive space for creativity and collaboration within the AI unit of Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACX). Autodesk is a flexible hybrid-first company, allowing workers to work remotely, in an office, or a mix of both.You will be reporting to a Sr Manager, Machine Learning Engineering.ResponsibilitiesTranslate CV/ML/computer graphics research into concept design-oriented productsUnderstand and prototype ideas from research papersCollaborate on projects with a diverse, global team of researchers and engineersSupport research productization through the construction of experimental pipelines, prototypes, and reusable codeImplement scalable machine learning training pipelinesProcess data and analyze feature extractionsModel training and hyperparameter tuningAnalyze errors and provide solutions to problemsMinimum QualificationsMSc or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience+3 years of experience with deep learning and generative modelsExperience with version controlling, reproducibility, and deploying machine learning modelsStrong data modelling and data architecture skillsExperience with cloud services & architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.)Proficiency with modern deep learning libraries and frameworksProficiency in coordinating, provisioning, and maintaining systems and compute infrastructureStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with 3D deep learningExperience in handling 3D data formats, including mesh analysis and visualizationExperience with training & optimizing Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Denoising Diffusion Models, Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs), etcExperience scaling ML training pipelinesExperience or interest in computational geometry and geometric methods, multi-modal deep learning and/or information retrievalKnowledge of the design, manufacturing, AEC, or media & entertainment industriesExperience with Autodesk products, including Alias, or similar products (CAD, CAE, CAM, etc.)Publications at relevant conferences & journals (e.g., NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)The Ideal CandidateA Software Engineer with experience building and training robust machine learning systemsFamiliar with implementing experimental pipelines and prototyping AI applicationsComfortable building prototypes from scratch and writing maintainable code within existing codebasesA curious, creative problem-solver who is excited to learn & develop new technologiesA fast learner & excellent communicator who can effectively collaborate across global locations#AC-1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
